This was Dr. Stieg's fourth SHARES trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. Along with Oaxaca plastic surgeon, Dr. Jarquin, the SHARES team operated on 39 children. Patricia Alvarez, the SHARES coordinator in Mexico, and Blanca Saenz from Mexico City, joined our team of 16 from Orlando, along with anesthesiologist Dr. Conigliaro and his son and daughter who came down from Boston. Dr. Bender, anesthesiologist from Arnold Palmer was part of the team, making this a truly diverse mission experience.

The Pediatric Hospital in Oaxaca has been a very hospitable facility to work in, and the local Rotary Club has been very supportive.
